I have attended all the Global Disability Summit’s so far since the inaugural summit in London back in 2018. At each GDS, I have taken on different roles, but this year I was officially a part of the UK delegation alongside Minister Timms, Minister for Social Security and Disability. We attended as a large delegation alongside other Member States, INGOs, businesses, multilaterals and other organisations working collectively to advance the rights of persons with disabilities globally. Everyone is sharing learning of what works, sharing challenges existing in different countries and I always learn so much from attendees. Of course, it is a pleasure to see familiar faces in the disability and development space as well. I count myself lucky to continue to be a part of such an important conversation globally, both on a professional and personal level…
